There are many places to visit from Les Fleurs, as we are in the heart of a Parc Naturel Regional and the Loire Valley wine Route. For those looking for a more active holiday, golf, horse riding, fishing and nature trails are just a few of the pastimes on offer.

Dou La Fontaine

Less than five minutes away, the market town of Dou la Fontaine has all amenities including two Troglodyte restaurants where you will enjoy a meal in a unique atmosphere and surroundings. A market is held every Monday morning.

The Bioparc zoo is renowned for its nature projects and endangered species conservation.

Dou is known as the French Capital of the rose and you can visit several gardens and  rose distilleries.



Saumur, which is only a 20 minute drive from Les Fleurs, is a beautiful town bordering the Loire river. A visit to the Chateau is a must and the views from the ramparts are wonderful.

World famous Cadre Noir  in Saumur opens its training school to the visitor, where you can marvel at the relationship and skill of horse and rider.

Wines of the Loire Valley

The region produces many exquisite wines from the world renowned Saumur Traditional sparkling wines to the lesser known but delicious wines produced in the Saumur & Anjou area such as Coteaux du Layon and Champigny.








This includes several traditional wine producers, who will welcome you with a visit around the caves where they produce the wines, followed by tastings and the opportunity to buy at very reasonable prices.
